Katheryn Hazlett is an independent author with a love of fantasy, particularly swords and sorcery. Her debut novel, Silver Sword, was published in September 2020.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in history, with a minor in English focused on Creative Writing, from the University of Tulsa in the USA and a Master of Arts in Medieval Britain and Europe from Aberystwyth University in Wales.

She remained in the United Kingdom and worked for a video games publisher and the Victoria & Albert Museum before taking the plunge into writing full time.

Her work draws on both history and mythology, as well as inspiration from numerous books and games, to create new worlds and fantastic stories.

2023 Reading Roundup

2023’s reading theme was Retellings, which I (roughly) defined here.

This year, I wanted to see just how many books I could read. But all the challenges require you to set a goal, so I went with 6 books for my goal. It’s a small number, but would be very achievable even if I had a bad year.
