A former journalist and translator, Jude Silberfeld-Grimaud is a French-speaker who prefers to write in English, a Taurus with a strong Gemini moon, a lover of cheese and LEGO (not necessarily at the same time), a huge Star Wars fan, the kind that only remembers the most basic quotes but sports a Millenium Falcon tattoo, which might have to do with being on the autistic spectrum and navigating life with dyspraxia. Their happy place is wherever their wife (and sometimes co-author) Marguerite Grimaud is, with a cat purring nearby.
Their debut novel, The Milkyway Hotel, written with Marguerite, is a 2025 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards finalist.

Jeanette Winterson
“I've turned myself inside out to try and avoid what happened today. You affect me in ways I can't quantify or contain. All I can measure is the effect, and the effect is that I am out of control.”

Carrie Fisher
“Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.”

J.S. Fields
“Standing just outside, Neek turned and leaned against a bulkhead. She smashed a fist into the smooth, papered wall next to her thigh. “Fuck,” she muttered. “That’s the hope.” Emn felt warmth creep into her cheeks as she walked to the door and turned sideways, leaving enough room for Neek to pass if she wanted.”
