After completing high school, he studied American and English Studies in Frankfurt (Goethe University) before moving to the United States to pursue a degree in Strategic Communication at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, with a minor in Film Production.

During his time in the U.S., he worked as a multimedia journalist, reporter, and editor for The Southwestern, producing a wide range of written and video content. He later joined The Lawton Constitution, where he worked as a Multimedia Reporter, gaining experience in professional newsroom environments and real-time reporting.

Alongside his journalism career, Becht has been involved in film and visual storytelling, contributing to multiple productions in various roles (i.e. Consume). He appeared as an actor in the feature films Resurrection Road (2025) and Bloodstained Ivory (2025), and directed and produced his own short film Pallaton.

In 2023, he published his first book, Journalists on Fire, in which he examines the structural challenges and transformations of modern journalism.

His work today at WEVENTURE Performance focuses on search, artificial intelligence, and digital visibility—analyzing how content is interpreted and surfaced by increasingly complex systems.
