J. John Aquino wrote the 2020 book If You Haven't Seen It, It's New to You: The Movies and TV Shows Some of Us Regretted Not Catching Until Later and runs the blog Accidental Star Trek Cosplay. His pop culture writing has appeared on Splitsider and Metroactive.

From 2002 to 2016, he ran (and produced content for) the internet radio station A Fistful of Soundtracks, whose format was music from film and TV scores.
