Jacob Lightman is an international best-selling author. He lives in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and wrote the science fiction adventure novel A Buzz. He is passionate about creating new worlds with exciting, dynamic, and fun characters. Jacob has completed multiple adrenaline-filled adventures through Latin America, Europe, and Asia. These international experiences, as a cultural outsider, have helped him to channel science fiction themes and develop different societal norms in his stories. When I sit down with my laptop, an exciting subject makes it easy to come up with new ideas.
Trips to different cultures and climates provide motivation for my writing process. While creating A Buzz Volume 1, I travelled to the Miami area for a writing vacation. The tropical weather, lush vegetation, and breathtaking nature influenced my mentality. I also took many other vacations to clear my mind and focus. Different surroundings help me to understand life as a cultural outsider and make it easy to describe aspects of a science fiction civilization.
