SS: How would you describe your life in only 8 words?

CH: Happy writing in Bath, fab husband, cats, friends.

SS: What is your motto or maxim?

CH: Never give up.

SS: How would you describe perfect happiness?

CH: Home, a lazy long lunch in the sunshine with close friends and family, my husband Steve cooking (he's a great cook) cats dozng about on their backs, a jasmine scented breeze. Bliss.

SS: What’s your greatest fear?

CH: Loss of people I love.

SS: If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

CH: Home. I just moved to Bath and love it here.

SS: With whom in history do you most identify?

CH: God, this questionnaire is hard. Identify with? Um. OK, Einstein because he was a seeker, always looking for answers to the big questions.

SS: Which living person do you most admire?

CH: My parents, they're both decent solid people who don't judge and who get on with life whatever it throws at them.

SS: What are your most overused words or phrases?

CH: What I think is...

SS: What do you regret most?

CH: Not living nearer to my family.

SS: If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

CH: The ability to put down on canvas some of the visuals I see in my head.

SS: What is your greatest achievement?

CH: Really great friends.

SS: What’s your greatest flaw?

CH: God! You'd have to ask those who know me. They'd have a long list.

SS: What’s your best quality?

CH: Loyalty to my friends.

SS: If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?

CH: Invisible. Imagine the fun you could have.

SS: What trait is most noticeable about you?

CH: I had to call my husband to ask him this one. He said empathy and generosity. Ar. That's nice.

SS: Who is your favorite fictional hero?

CH: Kate from What Katie DId by Susan Coolidge. I loved those books when I was young.

SS: Who is your favorite fictional villain?

CH: At the moment, I like Sue Sylvester from Glee. She gets all the best lines.

SS: If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

CH: Buddha. I'd say, so... what's it all about then?

SS: What is your biggest pet peeve?

CH: People who talk in the cinema and in the quiet carriage on trains. Arghhh.

SS: What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

CH: reading and OK, I admit it, shopping.

SS: What’s your fantasy profession?

CH: Rock and roll diva.

SS: What 3 personal qualities are most important to you?

CH: Sense of humour, integrity, generosity.

SS: If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

CH: Chips. And Pakistani mangoes. I could live on them. Ok, that's two things...
