Guiomar Bruidegom is a historical mystery writer and the great-granddaughter of the renowned 19th-century journalist and traveler Saturnino Ximénez Enrich. Inspired by his archival records and international travels, she created The Saturnino Ximénez Files to explore the perilous intersections of archaeology, intrigue, and empire.

Born in the Netherlands and currently living in Saigon, Vietnam, Guiomar’s global perspective has been shaped by a life lived in Amsterdam, London, Dubai, and Marbella. When she isn’t decoding lost manuscripts or grand-scale puzzles, she is dedicated to preserving her family’s legacy for the next generation of guardians.

"Writing
A meticulously researched historical adventure that never feels heavy. The detail adds real depth, while the story keeps a strong sense of excitement and momentum throughout. Engaging, well-paced, and easy to get lost in."
