This excellent novel shows the world through the eyes of a teenager during and after the cataclysmic event of the Moon being hit by an asteroid, therefore being moved from its orbit, and gettign closer to Earth. It is a horrifying experience, with heart wrenching events that you do not want anybody to live through, least of all children. I wanted to like this more but I found Alex such a hard character to empathise with. His sisters are fleshed out a little more but they are really only supporting characters in this rather depressing installment.

Looking forward to reading the next book. This was a really sad and enjoyable read...if that makes sense.
