Dust Girl wasn't really what I expected when I got it. It started out pretty awesome and it engaged me with its interwoven story and complex characters. Then it went downhill as I kept reading on. Sadly, it was a little more realism than fantasy and I had hoped to see more of the fae realm and world. I would have loved a bit more worldbuilding and less cardboardy type characters. A couple of notes:

-so easy to get into.
-really quick, maybe too quick
-There's a bit of a conclusion, but this is def set-the-stage book
-The world was great. So many possibilities for future books.
-Most unique take on fairies I've seen in awhile.
-backdrop of depression dust bowl was very good. since Callie's power involves wishes, you can see where the desperation of the time will come in.
