Excellent! Made me laugh and cry. (April 19, 2009)
I re-read this again via audio (2103). Highly recommended as Sherman Alexie reads it himself. Wonderful!
(2019) Given the way Sherman Alexie has treated women, I am no longer able to recommend this book and feel good about it.

As someone who has been an outsider and someone who has been the only person of color in the room, I really felt for Arnold. Really enjoyed this book.

I really enjoyed Sherman Alexie's first YA novel. Funny, sad, true.
