*Minor Spoilers*

I enjoyed this installment even more than the Red Pyramid! I felt like in the first book the author had to set up a lot of the Egyptian mythology and do countless introductions--here that's all taken care of, and we immediately leap straight into the action. I adored the addition of Bes, the gnarly dwarf god, the little gang of initiates Carter and Sadie take under their wing, as well as the diabolical but humorous Set. the Kane's continue on. they are now teaching other kids like themselves to harness magic. they have friends their own age. woot!
