Gritty grimy urban fantasy with a side of horror and a dash of wonder and romance. The heroine is a tough gal, like Jo from THE FACTS OF LIFE. The mystery has a noir feel, and the stench and decay of New York spills through the magic.

I liked this one - maybe not as much as Tithe, but it was still a good read.

Trolls, faeries, teen runaways, and a drug stolen from the fae. I missed the characters from book 1 (who do make an appearance, although its short), but I still thought it was fun.
