This is a hard book to review. I felt like it was slow getting to the plot (and to the end). But It was written in story telling mode. And when people tell stories, you have to be patient and listen while they get to the meaty parts.
AT first the vernacular threw me off, but it didn't take long for me to get used to the creole speech.
The writing was beautiful! and the setting was spectacular.
It was an original book and I had no idea how the story would unfold.
Suggested Books:
Zoo City by Lauren ...more
