From this book came the HBO series "True Bloods", a show I have never seen; but, someone suggested I give the book a whirl. Now I have, and I enjoyed it. With vampires, shape-shifters, and a character that has the ability to read minds (Sounds like Twilight, doesn't it? Believe me, it isn't!), the story unfolds for the reader in an imaginary town in Louisiana with murders afoot.
