Read this years ago after seeing and loving the movie first. I loved all the books by Albert Payson Terhune and fell in love with the collie breed. As a young wife I finagled my hubby into taking me to dog shows so that I could admire the collies. I finally got my own Lad, and what a beauty he was, but I had no desire to get into showing.

Great books, highly recommended for dog lovers.
