A fast paced thriller that drew me right in. There isn’t a female protagonist which is a unique way to writing a novel. I personally didn’t miss having a female lead. It was interesting reading from make perspectives only. This is also a sad novel. Maybe sad isn’t the right word, but maybe depressing or dark. Both Ryan DeMarco, the detective searching for murder suspect, and the suspect himself, Thomas Huston, lives are very depressing. DeMarco doesn’t seem to be going anywhere in the novel beca
