Reading this book is frustratingly like being on a raft going down a Mississippi-sized river of narrative and praying it will lead me to some kind of ocean. I am neither able to recommend it or not recommend it as I would never be able to tell whether a reader would enjoy the journey or loathe it, as I am myself by fits and turns on either side…

I do find the gentle science fiction aspect interesting and find it especially interesting that is acceptable to such a great number of readers.

Shelves: sci-fi-fantasy-horror

This book took me several months to finish. I would put it away for a few weeks and then continue. This is the second book I have read by this author. Although I enjoy his works, I have to be in a certain mood to be able to enjoy them and not become distracted.
