Monster Musume is an NYC best seller, and while this manga is not for everyone, I can say that I have enjoyed the series so far. This is why:
Interesting character design
It's funny
Characters may be trope-y, but that's why we like them!
Miia is adorable
Rachnera is a badass

Harem fanservice with a main protagonist who has a heart of gold with plenty of comedy to keep the story light and airy regardless of tension.
