Deadlocked 6 finds our characters still reeling from the assault on The Vineyard. Ben and Harrison are severely wounded, and Celeste/Cobra is struggling with Hailey's death. For the most part they're sidelined though, which helps the story reconnect with those characters readers are familiar with from books 1-4. It also helps plot wise because both Celeste and Ben proved themselves to be killing machines that would have made things a lot easier for the High Rollers and their fight against the mi
