I loved Syndey. I loved how she stayed true to her self and did what she could for her sister. Even though she is kinda up-tight and "snarky" most times she solved some problems by slightly evil but simple means like with Laurel. It was pretty hilarious having a classic switch up like that come from Sydney and it made me like her even more.

Confession: I read this book for Adrian Ivashkov. I love him. Adore his green eyes. So when you see Richelle Mead dedicating the book to "fans of Adrian" well I could never leave it.

DISAPPOINTEMENT: No kickass backtalks! No romance (what went between Jill and Lee does not even count) No strong heroine! Well yeah we want our Rose back!)

Sydney Sage: I found her really amazing when she made her first appearance. Not as kickass as Rose but she was pretty *acceptable is an understatement* and smart.
Confession: I read this book for Adrian Ivashkov. I love him. Adore his green eyes. So when you see Richelle Mead dedicating the book to "fans of Adrian" well I could never leave it.

Sydney Sage: I found her really amazing when she made her first appearance. Not as kickass as Rose but she was pretty *acceptable is an understatement* and smart. Somebody who knows her way out of situations but can go to great lengths to keep up with the honor of her family and her race. One trouble: for somebody who has read the entire "Vampire Academy" series will take some time to adapt to her serious nature, which mostly lacked the humour or the skills in arena.

Jill: No doubt she is Vasilisa's sister. I couldn't help but notice how alike they both were. Over-thinking, dependent "mostly", burdened by the politics of race and family and ofcourse no control over emotions. Sydney did support her but nothing could ever exist like the bond between Rose and Lisa. So yeah disappointment again.
(Alright I know the comparison in both the series is growing with every damn sentence but seriously no VA fan could ever help it.I'm no exception)

Eddie: I really liked him you know. True he reminded me of Mason for a time being. and Peeta MEllark (from the Hunger Games) for a longer time. but there is no getting over the fact that If I ever get a guardian of my own, I want it to be Eddie. The cutest brother and an unbeatable guardian <3

and finally, ADRIAN-FREAKING-IVASHKOV: Still trying to get over his past with Rose, Adrian is draining all his grief in alcohol and smoke. Ofcourse you can't get over something like that so easily. If not ideal knight in shinning Armour, he played the perfect lover boy, whom almost every girl adores. Again 'm no exception. He's funny, knows how to hide his feelings and has got better control over his 'spirit' magic than any of his contemporaries. To be honest, he is that one oil spark which carried the book forward, and eventually the series.

I still remember the way I felt when I held this book first time in my hands. I had waited for almost a year for this book. Nobody around me seemed to have it but yeah I finally got it. Keep calm and love Adrian

It was better than I thought it would be. Sydney Sage (Alchemist), is a character just as brave and fierce like Rose, in her own way. This continuance with the series was a good idea. I love the change of view (though I still love Rose's) and the way she rises in the book from being someone who's quiet and just follows orders, to someone who follows her heart and knows right from wrong.
