One of those classics that are so much a part of the culture that it feels like you have read them, even when you have not. The story concerns a group of British schoolboys who find themselves stranded on a deserted island and the various trials and travails that they go through. I liked the message of the book. I think it was well-written. I like the books that make me think about things. I am glad I finally read it.
I've noticed that most guys I talk to love it, and most girls I talk to don't. Stranded on a desert island---must be a guy thing.
