My parish pastor keeps mentioning this book in his homilies, so I'm feeling like I'm missing out. It's also part of "1001 books you must read before you die".

Good book. I kind of ponder what will happen to these boys when they return to civilization, particularly Jack. I'd like to think he learned something from this experience. I expect if rescue didn't come in time, there'd be more deaths, even after Ralph... I sort of knew what to expect from what my parish pastor was saying, so I could see ...more

I liked the message of the book. I think it was well-written. I like the books that make me think about things. I am glad I finally read it.
