I read this book for junior high English Lit class and liked it. The copy I had was the original play, and I remembered that I learned a very classic American English from this book. These people said: I don't have nothing to substitute for I have nothing, and I was fascinated by it.

I also saw a wonderful production of this book at the Arena Theater in DC. It was amazing. The fatal moment at the end had Lenny fall face down into a stark and unfriendly pool of water which opened up in the floor before the scene. Other than that the set was very minimal. Heart Breaking.
One of my favorite books ever. Everyone should read this ultimate story of friendship.
