I read this book for junior high English Lit class and liked it. The copy I had was the original play, and I remembered that I learned a very classic American English from this book. These people said: I don't have nothing to substitute for I have nothing, and I was fascinated by it.

I revisited this book after having read it as a teenager in high school. The book is everything I remembered: memorable characters, well-written, touching, a great story. Definitely a classic.
