I like the cunning way the author gives her contemporary readers exactly what they want (sex, blood, and rock'n'roll) with a false air of modesty and self-counsciousness, holding a proto-feminist mirror to Western societies. But she gets sidetracked sometimes, talking about cute exotic little creatures... ...more
