What an interesting little book! Packed with subtleties and very well written, I found it enjoyable and interesting, without being too artificially shocking (as in, revolving around something invented to be especially scandalous) or of the "two-characters-and-the-moment-that-changed-both-their-lives-forever" type. (I find those extremely tedious.)

This was my first time reading Spark, and I have to confess that I had no idea who she was or what she was about. Now...I am annoyed. I loved her. Now I have to read everything she's ever written, and she wrote a LOT. Annoying.
