This book is on the New York Times' list of the 100 best books of the 21st century to date, so I added it to my "to be read" pile and recently crossed it off the list.

Roth has something to say about a lot of things, tackling issues like racism, passing for white, Jewish identity, education, higher education's infatuation with itself and meaningless jargon, PTSD from Vietnam, and spousal abuse.
