An interesting account of business practices in a Japanese office told by a westerner working there for a year.

I finally managed to read a book by Amélie Nothomb after hearing so much about her. Although this book is occasionally funny, it is disappointing, full of clichés, stereotypes and exaggerations. It is also far too predictable. What a far cry from a book like Atonement by Ian McEwan or Sostiene Pereira by Antonio Tabucchi!
