After reading this book, I kept looking for another book by Arthur Golden. Years later, the movie came out and rumors about the author's credibility came out. Regardless whose imagination or life this story came from, I found it mystical, romantic and heroic.

I liked the imagery of the book, but it lacked some energy behind it for me. As a feminist it is bother me at the end.
