I felt like this was one of those books where you kind of start getting drunk on the words and then you begin to think everything is super deep and has about 100 meanings and everything is interconnected. I finally finished this one. If you need a strong plot, you won't be able to read this book. However, even at over 800 pages, I thought it was pretty enjoyable. I found this book to read so much faster than I I guessed it would take. The book essentially starts in the the present and goes back in time which is an interesting manner to get to know the characters in the snapshot portrayals.
