This book is a memoir written by Thomas Bernhard about his friendship with the philosopher Wittgensteins's nephew Paul. Bernhard also muses about art, literature, life, and sickness (both physical and mental). ... Other than that, I don't really have much to say about it. It was decent, Bernhard makes some really interesting observations on life, but I don't particularly see how this is on the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die list.
