A little bit of magic weaves through The Snow Child as Jack and Mabel, who are not able to have a child, discover a child flitting through the woods near their house in the wilderness of Alaska in the 1920's. Is she real or have they conjured her up through years of yearning? How does she survive? Jack and Mable have nothing but questions as they slowly build a relationship with the elusive Snow Child. This book was really good, both happy and sad, a story of families and relationships.
