Let me start by saying that one of my favorite novels of all times is Silas Marner. Heck, I named my middle son after its main character (though spelled SYlas because my husband did not want a Yes Man when we called him Si). My closest friend calls me Eppie. From its earliest chapters, I was constructing my review of The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry--this is how I know it is a good book. It has been a while since I've had a truly enjoyable read and what a pleasure this book turned out to be.
