Despite some clunky prose and the odd typo, this book does offer up the dual optimisitc prospects that the planet could recover from what humanity has inflicted upon it and that our own extinction may be both inevitable and desireable. There's plenty of deep research here and an admirable effort to give a complex set of data a solid sense of place and reason. ...more
