What's a better teen fantasy than a reality show including make-overs and violent death? This one is designed to be an exciting movie (casting's already begun) and I tore right through it. I read this book because the movie is coming out, but I had no expectation that I'd like it. I thought it might be a version of the Twilight books. My expectations were completely unfair. A main character who is complicated, flawed and well worth rooting for. A fun read!

Wow, quick read! Think I set a new personal best at about 6 hours, including time for eating, drinking, etc. I love the smart, resourceful girl narrator but disliked the romantic entanglements plots. Boring! That said, I can't wait to see the movie.
