This book started out pretty good. In fact, it gathers momentum and then just dies. This book suffers from what I like to refer to as the Star Trek Syndrome. It wraps itself up in the last 5 minutes, hastily and sloppy. This was a most unusual story. It's perhaps more of a parable than anything else. The premise is not so much unbelievable as just strange, I could believe that something like this could happen due to a virus or something else. Reminded me of The Road, in that the characters were nameless, as well as the lack of quotations. Good Read!

This was one of the most disturbing books I have ever read. It was a raw picture of the cruelty, and kindness, of the human population at it's most desolate. I found the fact that none of the characters had names to be most interesting, made it more faceless that way.

Over all, I really enjoyed the book, though it was definitely haunting.
