Re-read 2010, before reading Year of the Flood:
I'm not sure if I'm impressed or worried that some of the things she wrote (it was published in May 2003, and would've been (mostly) written in the early 00s, I suppose?) are things we definitely have now. I know it was all very thoroughly researched and possible, but not necessarily in use. Some things didn't go quite the way Atwood thought though, no fear of public gatherings have thrown the Arts to the wind just yet.

This has got to be one of the best books I have read in long time, I immediately got into the story and hung onto every word till the end. The reality is that as soon as I finished the book, I felt like reading it again, so I am currently reading it again. I cannot say I have ever done that in the past, I have reread books but with a time period between readings. There is so much great material in this book, just absolutely wonderful.
