This was a really interesting read, and just by chance I happened to be in New Orleans while I read this book. The author did a lot of research, and it definitely makes an impression. This is a novel of epic proportions, there is a solid base of reality which allows several stories to be built up and intertwine. At first I was disappointed at coming to the end of the book, but reflecting back upon the end, I felt it was just right.
