What Members Thought
I did not enjoy this book. But before I bash it beyond recognition like a zombie hunter wielding a baseball bat, I’d like to say that I’ve heard that the other books in this series are very good. And Moody’s Hater trilogy was intriguing enough that the masterful Guillermo del Toro acquired the rights to produce the film which will be based on the first novel in the series (also titled Hater).

I appreciated this quiet zombie story, for lack of a better descriptive term. There was definitely the grossness, violence, rage and wide gamut of other human emotions you'd expect to find in any end-of-the world, zombie apocalypse story, but it was more toned down and reserved than most, making the book a refreshingly different read.

3.5 rounded up to 4 because I love the phrase "bloody hell" and try to use it all the time. Doesn't sound quite right when you're American though.
