This book was a considerable amount of fun. Keene made an incredibly unique tale with great characters combining elements from not only zombie and apocalypse fiction but other genre's as well. Parts of this book reminded my of Stephen King's The Mist and also Peter F Hamilton's Reality Dysfunction.

Man, this is a really great read. It is well-written and is paced nicely. The premise is that demons or something like demons begin to inhabit the bodies of the dead and use these bodies to kill the remaining living humans. No one is safe as these creatures not only enter and control the bodies of humans, but of animals as well. Good stuff.
Well written fast moving tale that puts a different spin on the zombie genre. zombies are evil so the thought of them being demon influenced is easily swallowed.
