Brilliant! I had to check the date that it was written. So much covid like stuff and written in 2019. Well developed characters, interesting twists and even though it was a long 32 hour listen, it kept my attention for the majority of it. Some parts got a little long or repetitive but for the most part the story chugged a long at a great pace. I really enjoyed the ending, even though it leaves room for the next part of the story.
This author's politics are absolutely oozing out of every page right from the start. Stereotypes abound. I made it a few chapters in before I googled Chuck Wendig and, wow, dude is carrying around a lot of hate. There's always gonna be an audience for that kind of vitriol and opinion lecturing, (same as in One Second After) but it's not my bag.
