This reminded me of so much I love about Clarke.
Holli

It was kind of a slow start for me, but it picked up towards the end. I thought it was very interesting and creative and I absolutely loved how it ended. I did space out a little bit with some of the long political and/or science discussions. I also had a hard time keeping track of the characters, most likely because I listened to it on audiobook. I also didn't feel that strongly for any of the characters. I was entertained.

Just finished a re-read of this in anticipation of the final book ( 1 week from today 9/20/16). It made soo much more sense the second time around. I think I gave it a four star review originally knowing that it was worth it even not fully understanding all of it. Now I can only agree with my original sentiment.
Unfolding a proton, stymieing scientific progress what ?? I get it now.
Carol Keller
I did not finish because it had to go back to the library. Given the reviews, I'd like to revisit this someday.
