“Scythe” takes place in a future utopian America, where death has been eradicated. Due to technological advances people are, in essence, immortal. Cells can be rejuvenated even after the most horrific accidents (in fact it’s become a fad for teens to do something called “splatting” which is basically throwing themselves off of buildings).
