This book belongs in the pantheon of "What the hell am I reading?" books, and I consider this a good thing, so five stars. It wraps things up a bit...but there could easily be a series and I hope one day Mr. Clines will revisit that idea.

Because it's the idea, much like the building, which powers this book. The actual writing might merit a star less than the book overall and there is a slow build (pun not intended) to when things go from "hmmm, that's weird" to (view spoiler) ...more

Read 14 as a “Buddy Read” with my dad!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed this book and I’m quickly becoming a huge fan of Peter Clines! 14 has a very unique and creative story filled with a bunch of interesting, quirky and likable characters. Part mystery, part horror, part science fiction, part fantasy, thriller and comedy — this book was so much fun!
NOTE: 14 is set in the same “universe” as The Fold but both are stand alone books. I highly recommend both books!

This book started strong. I was drawn in and engaged. but midway through the book took a strange turn, becoming more of a horror story and losing some of the intrigue and promise of the beginning.
