This book left me feeling overwhelmed. A work of what Newt Gingrich calls possible "future history," it looks at what might happen in America in the wake of an EMP. It was an engrossing story that makes me wish for acreage, a well, some chickens, and a cow. ...more

Interesting and scary idea but fails as a novel. And too much god-crap. I can't stand the way some American authors shove religion into your face in fiction. If it's not relevant to the story just shut up about it. ...more
