I am terrible at book reviews, but I feel the need to explain my 3 stars, and why I really wanted to give it 2 despite the many many many 5 star reviews.
I enjoyed the story and the world the author built. The virus theories were intriguing as well, but it seemed like the way the story was told in first person present tense, there was so much more telling than showing. The 3-star rating isn't negative. This was an enjoyable, engaging read. Not particularly novel, but fairly well-written. Perfect for an airplane ride or trip to the beach.

Interesting zombie novel with hardly any zombies. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you're a zombie killing fan this is probably not your book. The main character is a bit self-involved but most of the characters are pleasant people who perhaps don't take their situation as seriously as I would expect. If you think you might like a zombie novel that isn't too violent and is a bit idyllic, this might be the work for you. I enjoyed it well enough.
