Overall, this was a book that kept me wanting to continue reading. Personally, I am not a fan of poetry, so I found myself skimming over the many references and passages with poetry in them and even some of the more longwinded descriptions to get to the plot of the story, but that is a personal preference. It was really neat to see it from the three different points of views. Throughout the whole book, I found myself rooting for Xander, (view spoiler) ...more

I finally finished this series. I loved Matched and it was an MHS Book Club book. I was not a fan of the second book, Crossed, so I stopped the series. Reached was available and free using NH downloadable audio books, so I gave the series a second chance

Cassia and Ky have made it out of the desert and joined the Rising. Cassia lives in Central & works as a sorter, Ky is flying airplanes with Indie, and Xander is works as a medic and helps people who have the plague. Xander knows that when more p

This book moved with a good deal of drive and passion. What I love most about this series is the focus on art, music, poetry, and choice. The message is that life is about creating and, especially in this book, that it is better to have choices and sometimes make the wrong ones than to live in a completely sterile and formulaic world. This story reminded me of "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury, a book which I've always loved (though the "Matched" series is more romantically driven). "Reached" was ...more

Sequel to Matched & Crossed, the poet,(Cassia) the pilot,(Ky)and the physic (Xander) come through the Rising to overthrow the Society, only to be overrun by a mutated plague virus. Lots of anti-viral machinations, mistrust, and utopian ideals ensue that fail. The first book in this series was original, unique, and genius. The last two are long, involved, and endlessly postulating about the effects of science and sociology gone awry.

Okay. If you know anything about me from my other reviews, you know that I sometimes enjoy chick lit. This is one of those stories that I really liked but still can't figure out why.
This was a very well written ending to the trilogy. I'm not typically a fan of switching viewpoints, but I thought Ally Condie did it quite masterfully. It was interesting to get into everyone's head.
Not much to say because I still need to sort out how exactly I feel. It was good - great, even - but I don't quite kn

Sad to see this series end I loved it, I loved how Ally Condie incorporated art and poetry into a stunning story. I am looking forward to future reads.
