Shannon Dermott has done a great job on her first novel. This was a fun read. What made it compelling for me was the different personalities of the guys pursuing Mercy: Bad boy Flynn, sweet and soulful Luke, boy next door Paul, and dangerous demon Sebastian. Because Mercy is part succubus demon, she tends to make some bad decisions that makes it more complicated and difficult for her to decide whom she should be with. First I'd like to say that I really enjoyed this book. It kept my attention the entire time and it was difficult putting it down. It explored new aspects of a familiar genre and Mercy, the main character, was involved in a very atypical love triangle, more like a pentagon really... Usually it's pretty easy to decide which characters should be together but this book had me changing my mind constantly! All the boys had strong aspects but they also had negative marks against them. Love the series! I wasn't able to put the book down. Shannon brings you into the story and has you begging for more. The way she writes has you going back and forth between the guys just like Mercy. I recommend this book to all my friends!!!
