This was the definition of a three star read. I didn’t hate it, but I didn't like or love it either.

Ismae had a hard start in life. When she was an infant her mother try to have an abortion with poison, but the baby lived, having only some ugly scars in her back, that make all the village to think she is the death's daughter. And they are right ;)

I think its one of the best historical books I've ever read! I never even thought of buying it till I read a review by a friend here in Goodreads (*thanks Jona, if you are reading this*) and this book did not disappoint me at all.

Grave Mercy just wasn't for me it would seem even though most other people who read it seemed to have really liked it it just wasn't for me. It's a shame because I loved the beginning where the MC was training to be an assassin, if the rest of the book continued with her learning the assassin ways then it probably have been alright but alas it didn't.
