It is a introspective YA romance book. Nowadays it is very hard to find such books with so strong emotion of love. Grace and Sam share a different sort of love which is very hard to define. This book shows us that love is not only a physical feeling. It is an innocent feeling/emotion in which two people care for each other. Sam and Grace shares this feeling from the age of 12 and 11 resp. For them it wasn't necessary that for Sam, Grace was human and for her he was a Wolf. As a wolf also he care It is a introspective YA romance book. Nowadays it is very hard to find such books with so strong emotion of love. For them it wasn't necessary that for Sam, Grace was human and for her he was a Wolf. As a wolf also he cared for her in an extraordinarily way, saved her from his own. And she knowing that it was a yellow eyed wolf which addresses as "My Wolf" was not scared from something so wild. She spent her Christmas every year with a wolf. C'mon who all among us will readily spend our days staring back at a wolf which care about us.
Not only love but this book also shows us that how some parents don't pay as much attention to their children which should be paid and which they need at certain ages. And that some don't believe their real children as much as the adoptive parents do. It is a book which covers all the major and serious aspects of a teenage life in a very entertaining and philosophical manner. All the characters Sam, Grace, Isabelle, Beck, Jack have their own problems but they don't give up and try the level best to solve them with help and their own. For a werewolf it is very difficult to hold back change but Sam did for Grace and even when he is a wolf he is very much aware of his humanity and of Grace. This was one of the most extraordinary thing in this book that he doesn't forget about her when he can't comprehend with his human mind. Isabelle helps Sam and Grace not because of his own brother but somewhere she needed a real friend which she found in Grace and didn't want to lose her. Beck played a very important role in Sam's life whatever he is, is because of him and he risks himself to change to find Sam for his love Grace and for his humanity so that he may get cured and spend his entire life happily with everything he always wanted in his life. Shelby: One of the character which exist in all our lives. She wants power, and to become a ruler. And for that she is ready to take any step which made her inhumane even when she used to be in human body. She became a savage even when she wasn't. She doesn't love Sam she wants him for power. We all have same problems but different ways of solving or dealing with them this is what this book tells us. I loved this series. This isn't like any other book I've ever read. ...more

I'll admit that I don't care for YA paranormal books all that much, and I accidentally got this book thinking it was something else, but I read it anyway. This book surprised me. It started out agonizingly slow and boring, but about mid-way, it picked up. Admittedly, you have to push through a lot of "I gazed at her and she gazed back at me" moments (also, throw in some poetry and some forced 'tense' moments), but you do eventually get to some good parts.

Likable characters but the plot fell short. It was mostly about developing their relationship and looking at their past. I wish it could of had more excitement.

I thought it was a good book the plot was nice and i loved the part when they were in the candy store i thought that part was described really well although i think there could have been more action parts but maybe not I loved the book and im reading the second book in the trilogy right now (Linger) not very far through yet but yeah so i would reccomend this novel to the people who like romance novels with a bit of a twist or if you like twilight because then you get to like warewolves in this b ...more

This book makes Twilight look like the best book on Earth.

The POV switching sucked, the romance was cheesy, and the story line was boring.

Much worse than Twilight. Maybe if Shiver had a movie, I would enjoy the story better (because my interpretation of it isn't very good). Not recommended. ...more
